Coach Kate Shank

Coaching Experience:

Started coaching club with Kings Hammer in 2015.  She began her career with the U-10B team and continued growing and pushing that team until they were 15.  During that time, she gained her grassroots, 4v4, 9v9, 11v11 and Class D License with US Soccer.  She moved to Cleveland, OH in 2020 and actively searched for a team while training neighborhood kids ages 5-14.  She gained a position with Westlake High School as their JV Women’s coach and continues to coach with Westlake.  Through Westlake, she met coaches with North FC and began training and coaching the 06 and 08 women’s team in November 2022.

Playing Experience

Started playing soccer when she was three playing indoor and loving it.
-Played for Loveland High School in Loveland, OH.  Earned 2 Varsity letters, Junior year as Defense and senior year as Offense.  Had 8 goals and 2 assists senior year earning second team all conference.
-Played 62 games as center back (4) at Canisius College in Buffalo, NY.  Won regular season conference in 2010.
– After college played with Cincinnati Sirens, WPSL team from 2016-2019.  Won the 2019 PASL Women’s National Championship with the game winning goal.

Best Soccer Memory

1. Going to my first USWNT game when I was 10 and meeting Mia Hamm.
2. Working for the WNY Flash, 2011-2012, and meeting and talking with so many professional players like Megan Rapinoe, Marta, Alex Morgan, Abby Wambach, Christine Sinclair, Ashlyn Harris, Carli Llyod, Caroline Segar, and Ali Riley

Favorite Place to visit

Cozumel.  I like to scuba dive and this has been the best place to go so far.
